Attendance at University

Includes information on temporary leave, permanent withdrawal including the financial implications.

You should be punctual and regular in your attendance at University.

If you are absent without permission for more than three days through illness, you must notify your Course/Subject Director.

Where the absence is for a period of more than five working days or caused by illness which may affect your studies, you will need a medical certificate.

You may also apply for a leave of absence.

If you are absent without leave for a period of four consecutive weeks or an aggregate of four weeks within a semester, the Board of the Faculty, in line with the University Regulations, may deem you withdrawn from the course.

It is therefore important to communicate any periods of leave to your Course/Subject Director.
