Elsewhere on Ulster
If you are juggling student life with caring for loved ones, you are not alone.
The new Ulster University Carers’ Network is here to connect you with others in the same situation and offer support.
With around 222,000 people in Northern Ireland providing unpaid care for their loved ones (NI Census 2021), it’s clear that at Ulster, there will be students taking on this role while balancing studies, part-time jobs and social activities.
If you are in this position, support is here for you from the new Ulster University Carers’ Network that will bring students and staff together.
The network is open to all carers, past, current or future, as well as anyone who may anticipate needing care for themselves at some point.
Please express your interest in the Carers Network by Friday, 17 October. If you have any queries or would like more information, please contact Alex De La Torre.
