Chaudhary Hamza Riaz is graduating with an LLB (Hons) in Law with Politics and International Studies.

He was the first international and BAME+ student elected VP for Equality and Belonging at UUSU. Hamza took his passion for diversity, justice, and youth empowerment to the global stage, speaking at the UN Headquarters in New York and the European Parliament in Strasbourg. There, he advocated for health rights and a more inclusive and sustainable world for all.

He led fantastic student initiatives that celebrated culture, boosted inclusion, and supported wellbeing, proving just how powerful student voices can be in standing up for human rights, helping to shape government policy, and coming up with solutions to global problems.

He is also recognised as the Ulster EDGE Excel Award Student of the Year 2025, which recognises the impact of his extra-curricular activities on his own development and the student body.
