Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR)
HEAR is the official Ulster University document which provides a record of achievements, both academic and non-academic, gained while studying at Ulster.
It is an electronic document available to students on full-time undergraduate honours degree courses, or integrated Master’s degrees (excluding MBBS), on the Belfast, Coleraine, or Derry/Londonderry campuses.

Student ID Cards
Your Student ID Card
Your Student ID card is essential for accessing a range of university services and facilities. It includes your student number and course details, and is required for:
- Borrowing books from the library
- Using campus car parks
- Gaining access to secure areas on the Belfast, Coleraine, and Derry~Londonderry campuses
Keeping your card active
To maintain access to university facilities, your card must be updated approximately every 30 days. You can do this by tapping your card on the card readers located at the main reception of each campus.
Collecting your card
Your Joining Instructions will include the location for collecting your Student ID card.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact your campus Student Operations Office.
Uploading your photo
If you haven’t uploaded a photo yet, please do so via the Photo Upload Centre. Once your photo is uploaded, contact your campus Student Operations Office to complete the process.

Transcript
Additional copies
Additional copies of your transcript can be obtained from your campus Examinations Office by completing the Transcript Request Form available via the Ulster University online store.
You may also request a transcript while you are a currently enrolled student which will detail the results of modules approved by examination boards up to the date of the request.

Name change
Ulster University's Change of Name policy is available to applicants who have accepted a conditional firm (CF) or Unconditional firm (UF) offer and registered students that wish to change their name on their Ulster University student record.
