Ulster University undergraduates reach out for year-long placements and internships overseas.

The excitement of living and working overseas means a better understanding of the working world.  Ulster students want to be better connected with ultramodern industry practice and lifestyles that would make for an exceptional placement experience.  In particular, students of business and marketing, engineering and technology are aware of and want to be part of exciting global developments.

Successful collaboration with employers is key to the delivery of Ulster's innovative and research-informed degrees. The Placement Partner programme is a fully collaborative project, managed by three partners: the employer, the student and the University.  The employer partner has a named point of contact at the University to assist with all arrangements including managing communications, preparation of students (including pre-departure arrangements); plus directing student project work and maintain contact with the student during the placement period.

Last year four students from Ulster University took part in the Washington Ireland Program and documented some of their trip, giving students and academics alike a greater insight into the program.
