We can connect you with a wide talent bank of highly skilled, sought-after, employable graduates and postgraduates.

The Graduate Leadership Programme is a 6-month internship combined with a Post Graduate Certificate in Graduate Leadership.  This programme starts in September each year. Opportunities are available across all subject areas and locations in Northern Ireland. An internship programme allows businesses to bring additional skills to the business and ‘interview’ the graduate over a longer period. We can assist you in developing your internships and targeting suitable graduates.

We can work with you to set up activities as another way to scout for talent, ensuring a streamlined talent pipeline from university to businesses. Most large businesses employing graduates have graduate training programmes in place to ease new recruits into the world of work and give them the skills necessary to become part of the larger team. We can aid the development and promote a graduate development programme that is suited to your business needs.

At Ulster University, we focus on providing high-quality challenging opportunities for our students and graduates.

We are delighted to have secured funding from the Department of the Economy to support the Graduate Boost Programme commencing January 2023.

The programme combines a 15-week internship with a 15-credit postgraduate module in ‘Developing a Professional Identity’ delivered by Ulster University for 20 unemployed/underemployed graduates living with a wide range of disabilities.

Graduates with disabilities are reported as significantly less likely to find graduate-level employment and this type of programme enables us to reduce that gap. Many employers are now seeking to improve their equality, diversity and inclusion practices, and we can help support you to recruit, onboard and retain graduate talent to enable an increasingly diverse workforce.

  • Employers and Graduate Interns will be fully supported by a range of professionals including a Graduate Mentor for the duration of the programme.
  • The programme is available to registered companies, sole traders and partnerships based in Northern Ireland.
  • This programme is part funded by the Department of the Economy (75%).   The Employer contribution is £1,598.35 (25%) and will be invoiced within 2 weeks of the programme commencing.
  • The Graduate Intern will work full-time for your organisation, depending on an individual’s circumstances flexibility can be agreed with the employer and the Graduate Intern.
  • Graduate Interns will be required to attend either online or face-to-face weekly tutorials delivered by the University.
  • The Graduate Intern can avail of regular 1-2-1 coaching sessions to support their transition into the workplace.
  • A bursary of £364 per week will be paid directly to the Graduate Intern, Ulster University will manage all payments.
