Whether you’re looking for a laugh, want to try a new sport, need a little time to switch off or just fancy winning some freebies, there’s plenty happening across Ulster.

Here are some of the highlights to look out for from Monday 14 - Friday 25 September.

Fancy a Laugh?

Freshers Week is bringing comedy to campus, with some familiar faces from the Northern Irish comedy scene.

In Belfast, catch Paddy Raff at CQ Social on Monday 21 September, from 8pm. Tickets are £5.

Over in Derry~Londonderry, Emer Maguire takes to the stage at Rock Road Social on Tuesday 22 September, while Coleraine hosts its own comedy night featuring Micky Bartlett, Ciaran Bartlett and William Thompson at Bann View Social. Both events start at 8pm and tickets are £5.

Take some time for yourself

Freshers can be full-on, so make time to slow down too.

The Students’ Union is running Rise & Shine sessions on Friday 25 September across Belfast, Coleraine and Derry~Londonderry. These early-morning sessions combine guided Pilates with a light breakfast; a chance to start the final day of Freshers Week feeling refreshed.

Whether you’re already a morning person or fancy trying something different, it could be a good way to reset before the weekend.

Try a Sport

Head along to Give It a Try in the Ulster Sports Centres on Wednesday 16 September and have a go at a range of sports available at Ulster.

There are 44 sports clubs to discover and you don't need any previous experience. It's a relaxed way to try something new, meet other students and find out how to get involved throughout the year.

If you're already involved in sport or just want to meet other students who are, check out the Team UU Night Out on Wednesday 23 September. It's a chance to meet students involved in sport at Ulster, make new connections and celebrate being part of Team UU.

Alternatively, pop over to your campus Sports Centre during Welcome Week for a tour of the facilities.
