Campus Libraries will provide 24-hour access to spaces for Ulster students and staff with the exception of December 25 and 26 and January 1. Open areas will include study environments, social learning spaces and access to computing, printing, scanning and photocopying facilities Students & staff must have their card with them to gain access and we ask that users report to campus security desks before entering libraries. . |

Campus Access
In order to ensure your security and safety whilst on campus during the Christmas break, the university campuses will be closed from Thursday 25 December 2025 through to Thursday 1 January 2026 inclusive. Please note that there will be NO access on Thursday 25 December, Friday 26 December or Thursday 1 January 2026 (Public Holidays).
However, any student or staff member requiring to access the campus during the Christmas break (with the exception of Thursday 25, Friday 26 and Thursday 1 January) can do so provided that they have a letter of approval from their faculty/department.
Notification of requirements should be approved by Heads of School / Department and submitted to the respective Head of Estates Customer Services (Derek Bell for Coleraine and Derry~Londonderry campuses; Trevor Glenn for Belfast campus and Ulster University Sports Village) no later than mid-day 18 December 2025, detailing the room number(s) and date(s) access is required, to enable arrangements to be put in place. All necessary Risk Assessments, support and supervision are to be in place. Users of the respective facility must be in possession of a letter of approval from the school and their ID Card.
It is requested that anyone accessing the campus during the Christmas break signs in and out at the main reception on each campus, (excluding accessing Sports Centres.) Estates Patrol will then facilitate access to the areas required.
