The university offers a range of clubs, societies, and events for students. Joining these will help you meet new people, make friends, and feel more connected. Grab an events guide when you arrive and attend as many Freshers events as possible.

Northern Ireland is well-connected by public transport, with buses and trains making it easy to get around. Familiarise yourself with the schedules, and make use of travel discounts. Students up to 23 years old can also apply for a FREE yLink Smartcard, which gets you 50% off Translink bus and rail travel in Northern Ireland and up to 50% off the Enterprise train to Dublin!
Take the opportunity to explore nearby towns, cities, and scenic areas like the Causeway Coast.
