University Mental Health Day activities at Ulster University.
The Student Wellbeing team are planning a packed day of activities to help raise awareness and drive positive change for our student’s mental health. It is a chance to talk about our mental health, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to get help when struggling.
The latest research at Student Minds (Feb, 2023) found that:
*1 in 4 students have a diagnosed mental health issue
*30% said their mental health has got worse since starting university
*1 in 4 students would not know where to go to get mental health support at university if they needed it
We want to use the day to not only to increase awareness of mental health issues but to also bridge the gap in knowledge of the wide variety of support that is available both within the University and the wider community for students.
