Dr David Duffy


Overview

Dr. David Duffy is a member of IRISS and Lecturer in economics at Ulster University. He obtained a degree in Economics from Queens University Belfast, with his M.Econ.Sc and PhD from University College Cork.

Before joining Ulster University David worked at the University of Portsmouth, National University of Ireland, Galway and at University College Cork.

His research interests include public finance, public choice, institutions and growth, the history of thought and fiscal policy.

David's research has been published in several international peer reviewed journals such as the Cambridge Journal of Economics, Constitutional Political Economy, Economic Modelling, Environmental Management, Scottish Journal of Political Economy and the Journal of Public Finance and Public Choice. In addition he has also carried out knowledge transfer work for industry and public bodies.

David is second Vice Chair on the Board of the International Network for Economic Research(INFER) and is Chair of the INFER Publication Committee and Editor of the INFER Working Paper Series.
