Public Transport

Public transport - bus/train from both Belfast City and Belfast International airports to Coleraine campus

  • Belfast City Airport (BHD) to Coleraine Campus

    Shuttle bus (Airport Express Service No. 600) from Belfast City Airport to Belfast Great Victoria/Europa rail/bus station.  ShuttleBus – Airport 600 .  Cost £2.60.  Journey time approximately 20 minutes.

    Then onward journey from Belfast to Coleraine.

    By Bus

    From Belfast Europa bus station by Translink Goldliner Express Service No. 218 to Coleraine.

    Translink - click “Find a timetable” and under “Service No.” enter “218” - this will give you the Belfast to Coleraine timetable.

    Cost of bus to Coleraine is approximately £10.00. Journey time is approximately 1hr 50mins.

    Coleraine campus is a 10 minute taxi journey from Coleraine bus station. Taxis are available outside the bus station or can be booked by telephone:

    If you are staying in University accommodation and you arrive on campus during office hours (Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-4pm) then please tell your taxi driver to take you to the Accommodation Office on campus where you can collect your keys.

    If you arrive on campus outside of office hours then please tell your taxi driver to take you directly to your named accommodation and you will be met by a Resident Assistant.

    By Train

    From Belfast Great Victoria train station (within Europa bus station) by Translink Northern Ireland Railways to Coleraine

    Translink Rail Service No. 3 – choose route 3 outbound

    Cost of train to Coleraine is approximately £11.00. Journey time is approximately 1hr 35mins.

    At Coleraine Railway Station you can either get a taxi to your accommodation or catch the Portrush train which will take you to the campus stop - University Halt. Please note that there may be a waiting time at Coleraine train station for the University connection. The train journey to University Halt takes approximately 5 minutes.

    Coleraine campus is a 3 minute walk from University Halt but can be considerably longer to your University accommodation depending on where you will be staying.

    It is advisable to get a taxi from Coleraine train station to your accommodation.

    Shuttle bus (Airport Express Service No. 300) from Belfast International Airport to Belfast Great Victoria/Europa rail/bus station.  Shuttle Bus – Airport 300 Cost £7.50.  Journey tile approximately 30 minutes.

    Then onward journey form Belfast to Coleraine by bus or train as outlined above.
