In these live sessions your key staff contacts as well as current international students will provide you with guidance and advice as a newly-admitted international student.

Our aim is to support students with:

  • Arranging their travel to, and adapting to living in Northern Ireland
  • Understanding their accommodation needs and options
  • Understanding and meeting orientation expectations and responsibilities
  • Transitioning successfully to student and academic life at Ulster University

Accommodation: Your Options

In this extended webinar, participants will begin by learning about on-campus housing application deadlines, how housing assignments work, about on-campus housing options at Ulster, and how you can select the housing appropriate for your needs. We will also go over the move-in process and tips applicable to international students.

Participants will then move on to learning about the advantages and disadvantages of living in privately-owned housing located off-campus during their time at Ulster.

Presenters will discuss the best practices for obtaining off-campus housing, things to consider before signing a rental agreement, and ways to avoid potential pitfalls in the process. Participants will be able to ask questions to current students living in each of these areas.
