University-wide Policies & Procedures

The University establishes university-wide strategies, policies and procedures in order to support its vision and core strategic aims promoting consistency, efficiency and effectiveness of operations throughout the organisation.

The Office of the University Secretary has responsibility for governance within Ulster University and has broad responsibility for ‘organisation memory’.

A Policy Framework has been established to ensure consistency and standards for policy development, approval, implementation and review across the university.

Policy clinics are held each month to support staff when they are developing or reviewing policies. They will receive advice on the framework, policy governance, equality screening and mainstreaming, staff and stakeholder engagement and trade union consultation.
