Campus Navigator

Campus Navigators will provide support for a range of campus wide initiatives on and off campus. These roles are vital in welcoming our students, staff and visitors supporting a positive experience when arriving on campus. If you are confident, a good communicator and have a professional demeanour this could be the role for you.

  • Main Duties
    • Provide navigational support to students, staff and visitors
    • Provide basic IT support to students, staff and visitors (e.g., connecting to Wi-Fi)
    • General support for welcome activities
    • Support on and off campus events and activities:
      • Support in a variety of off campus activities such as airport meet greet, day trips, walking tours
      • Support on-campus and virtual activities including International Orientation, Virtual and On-Campus QA’s, Coffee and Chat
    • Assist in the development of digital assets such as testimonials, tours and focus groups to support both home and international students

Learning Partner

Digital Services are seeking to recruit a professional team of Learning Partners who will support and assist teaching staff when working with new teaching methods and emerging technologies in classroom environments.     • Guiding teaching staff in the use of new classroom technologies and assist in resolving any basic queries
    • Promote new creative teaching methods
    • Provide just-in-time support and assistance in class when required
    • Assist with any event and conference support to staff and external stakeholders

Digital Services Assistant

Digital Services are recruiting a number of Digital Services Assistants to work on a casual basis providing basic IT help and guidance to our staff and students outside core working hours. If you are IT proficient, a confident problem solver, punctual and reliable, excellent communicator and have a passion for good customer service, perhaps this is the role for you.

  • Main Duties
    • Responding to staff and student IT enquiries via our IT Service Desk
    • Handling our phone, email and self-service portal channels
    • Logging service requests and incidents in our UniDesk Service Management System
    • Providing 1st level support to staff and students such as password resets, Wi-Fi Issues and printing queries
    • Escalating any significant incidents to service owners

Student Mentor

Student Mentors will provide online study help and advice to first year students during 2022/23 via Ulster University’s Studiosity ‘Student Connect’ online study support service.

    • Providing online mentoring to first year students
  • Rate
    • £10 per hour (pro rata by the minute)

    • Online. You choose the hours you want to work between 11am – 11pm providing live, online mentoring to first year students

Relocation support

Delivery Services & Storage Ltd are recruiting for a project at Ulster University during summer 2022, mainly May – August. Ideal for students looking for work over summer.

  • Main Duties

    The role will incorporate a verity of removals, transport and logistics related activities. Typically, the role will include, but not be limited to the following:

    • General furniture removals & relocation
    • Computer equipment removals and installation
    • Full sequential library relocation
    • Vehicle loading and unloading
  • Criteria

    Essential Criteria

    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Motivated, conscientious worker with a positive work ethic
    • Be physically fit as this role can be labour intensive
    • Good communication skills
    • Available to work out of normal working hours (i.e. evenings & weekends)
    • Punctual and reliable

    Desirable Criteria

    • Manual Handling Training
    • Driving License Desirable but not essential
