SSE Renewables Scholarship

The SSE Renewables Scholarship Fund provides 50% funding support towards the cost of third-level fees up to a maximum of 3 years and is available to students living in Co. Derry~Londonderry, Co. Tyrone, Co. Fermanagh and Co. Donegal.

The Scholarship provides financial support for students on both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses.

Scholarships are available to students commencing first year studies on a range of STEM and Business courses at Ulster University.

The SSE Renewables Scholarship 2026-2027 opened for applications on Monday 12 October 2026.  Applications will remain open until Friday 13 November 2026.

Course directors of eligible programmes will contact students with details on how to apply when applications open.

To be considered for The SSE Renewables Scholarship (funded by the Slieve Kirk Wind Park, Tievenameenta and Slieve Divena II Wind Farm Regional Fund) applicants must:

• Hold a registered place on the first year of one of the programmes of study as listed in Appendix A for entry into the current academic year at Ulster University. Full-time and Part-time courses are eligible.
• Have a home address in Co. Tyrone, Co. Derry~Londonderry, Co. Fermanagh or Co. Donegal.
