The Caring for People with Complex Needs research centre reflects the changing nature of health and social care provision and the challenges faced by individuals with complex needs, their families and the staff who care for them.
We carry out person-centred research with specific population groups (older people, individuals with intellectual disabilities, palliative care recipients) and with people who have complex needs resulting from cancer and diabetes.
Research in this Centre is grouped into six themes
- Cancer Care
- Diabetes
- Older People and their Carers
- Palliative Care
- Person Centred Practice and Education
- Neurodevelopmental and Intellectual Disabilities
