US Ambassador Melanne Verveer delivered a speech at The Mac in Belfast on women leading on the peace process and what Northern Ireland’s example can teach the world.

The special lecture was organised by Ulster University’s Transitional Justice Institute (TJI) as part of its annual summer school.

Ambassador Verveer has worked tirelessly to ensure that women's participation and rights are fully integrated into U.S foreign policy, while playing a leadership role in the Administration’s development of the U.S. National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security.
