Get Invited, a start-up business established at Ulster University, has reached £1million in sales of its next generation online event registration and ticketing platform.

Get Invited, founded by Ulster University design graduates Kyle Gawley and David Turner, provides event organisers with an end-to-end management solution including online registration, smartphone ticketing, social media monitoring and post-event analysis.

Get Invited has been host to many high profile events across the globe including, LAUNCH, the world's largest start up conference in San Francisco and the leading virtual reality event, Virtual Reality Expo in Los Angeles. The company has recently secured a deal with international publishing group, Future Publishing, to support its GENERATE conferences in New York, San Francisco and London during 2016.

Co-Founder of Get Invited, Kyle Gawley said: " Get Invited was born out of our Masters degree at Ulster University which tasked us with creating a business concept to showcase our interactive design capabilities. On completion of the project and with encouragement from our lecturer, we started to see the commercial potential of the platform.

"With support to develop a business plan and on-going advice from the University, the company has enjoyed two hugely successful trading years. We are now focusing on strengthening our penetration of the wider UK and Irish markets while further developing the software to improve features and performance."

Director of Research and Innovation at Ulster University, Tim Brundle, said: "With industry relevant expertise, world-leading research and cutting-edge technologies, Ulster University provides a wide range of practical and financial support to business of all sizes across all sectors. The success of Get Invited is proof of the entrepreneurial flair that is cultivated in our students who are driving Northern Ireland's knowledge economy. We are continuing to work closely with Get Invited to help them realise their ambitions."
