A Water Jet Cutting Lab is a specialized facility equipped with advanced waterjet cutting technology. At its heart is a powerful machine that uses an ultra-high-pressure pump to generate a stream of water at very high pressures. Wherein  water is forced through a tiny jewel orifice, creating a hair-thin stream capable of cutting soft materials.

For harder materials, the lab incorporates abrasive waterjet cutting, where garnet sand is mixed with the water stream, increasing cutting power considerably. This versatile setup allows the lab to cut a wide range of materials, from soft textiles to metals, with exceptional accuracy and without generating heat

Uses & Capabilities

This piece of equipment could be used for:

  • Fabrication of body parts, engine components, and interior cabin panels. It can cut through tough materials like titanium and heat-resistant alloys, making it ideal for creating precision parts for aircraft.
  • It can achieve high precision, versatility in material handling, and improved production efficiency
  • The technology is employed in cutting metal parts, components, and custom designs for vehicles. It's particularly useful for creating truck bed liners, bumpers, and fiberglass body components
  • Utilized for producing circuit boards, cable stripping, and creating custom electrical enclosures. It contributes to reducing production costs of electrical components.
  • May be employed for cutting stone, tile, and glass for both interior and exterior architectural applications. It allows for the creation of intricate designs and custom patterns.
