The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment consists of four Schools, offering industry-informed, professionally recognised courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Graduate employability

The Faculty has developed strong industry partnerships in both teaching and research, which has helped to foster excellent employment opportunities for our graduates. Most of our courses have a placement year, providing our graduates with an additional diploma, which has proven to be invaluable in helping graduates to secure professional employment locally, nationally, and globally. There is also opportunity for PhD study.

Extra curriculum opportunities

Sponsored scholarships and prizes further demonstrate the relevance of our courses and the quality of our students. Numerous opportunities for personal development exist, and include for example, the University’s own EDGE Award, Tutoring in Schools, mentoring and class representation, STEM Ambassadorships, Athena Swan Champions, peer-mentoring and widening access partnerships.
