Current research and forthcoming articles on the medical reform agenda in Northern Ireland in the 1930s (with Greta Jones) and the foundation of the NHS in Northern Ireland in 1948.
  • Dr Farhat Manzoor
    Author with McKenna and Jones of “How could these people do this sort of stuff and then we have to look after them?” The Ethical Dilemmas of Nursing in the Northern Ireland Conflict.’ (Oral History, vol. 2, no. 2, 2007) and “Candles in the Dark: Medical Ethical Issues in Northern Ireland During the Troubles”. Current research interests include women’s history and the history of medicine in Ireland and England with special emphasises on Northern Ireland.
