Wi-Fi and Device Charging

The latest wi-fi technology, wi-fi 6, is included throughout our new Belfast campus. This provides total coverage in all teaching, meeting, open access and social spaces on campus.

The high density of access points is designed to reduce congestion on the wi-fi network, support multiple devices per user, and provide performance similar to a wired connection.

Power outlets which include USB charging, are provided in all surface-mounted sockets on campus. Sockets are also available in casual seating areas. A number of desks within the library open access area will have power modules integrated into the desks. The library laptop loan kiosks will also provide 48 secure charging lockers which will also enable users to charge personal devices.
