Guidance on Gifting and Purchasing Policy
Computing Devices (laptops, desktops, tablets etc.) purchased through a university cost centre are viewed as university assets and according to financial procedures ownership cannot be transferred to an individual unless the criteria for a limited number of exceptions are met.

Digital Services cannot accept a request for a device to be off boarded for personal use unless they obtain written confirmation from a Director of Faculty Operations or Professional Services Director that:
- a specific device can be offboarded in line with the financial procedures above and
- the financial asset procedures also outlined above have been completed.
