Overview

After graduating with degree in Economics with Accounting, Phil trained as an accountant Phil gaining a broad range of experience with variety of clients.  He then joined the University management accounting team in 2003.  As Faculty Accountant, he bridged the support between professional services and faculties, providing financial management and strategic business planning support to Deans and other senior academics and management.

For the past 5 years he has been Head of Faculty Administration for the Faculty of Art, Design and Built Environment where he has heavily involved in development and delivery of several Faculty and University plans and projects.

In the role of Director of Faculty Operations for Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment as DFO, Phil’s main focus is to provide strategic advice for the Executive Dean and other senior staff in the faculty to develop long term strategically relevant and sustainable projects in line with the 5&50 goals.  Key to this is supporting the school managers, and working with our Associate Deans to generate new business and with our Heads of School and Research Directors to ensure the very best environment and support for teaching and research.  Phil is the Faculty’s link to the professional services directorate to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the University goals.
