Service Description
Information Services offer a wide range of training materials and online guides to assist you with much of the software you will encounter within your student environment or the Supported Staff Environment. There are three key sources of training materials:
- Self-Help section of this website
- UniDesk Self-Service Portal
- Training Portal
Business Process
The materials on the Self-Help section of this website, including short tutorial videos, are available to all and require no login. Please note that many of the documents are in PDF format and will require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them.
Those on the UniDesk Self-Service Portal can be accessed using your University staff email address and your associated network password.
The LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) materials on the Training Portal are available to University staff and can be accessed using your University staff email address and network password. Some University-specific materials, such as the Skype for Business Video Tutorials have no access restrictions.

The Self Help area on this website has Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on a wide range of topics including:

Resources in the UniDesk Self-Service Portal include guides on:

Members of staff at the University can use the Training Portal to have full access to the online training materials published by LinkedIn Learning as well as University-specific materials. There are links to LinkedIn Learning courses curated by Information Services and Staff Development and guidance on accessing the LinkedIn Learning website.
