Your questions answered
You be able to access your timetable once you have completed your online enrolment and have officially been registered as an Ulster student.
You will be sent an email to instruct you when to complete this.
Please note that the timetables will not be released until 2 weeks before the start of term.
- Semester 1 - mid September
- Semester 2 - mid January
You will receive your Ulster email address and access to the Student Portal once you have completed your online enrolment.
The instructions will be sent to you by email, along with confirmation of your module selection for that semester.
As you are an exchange study abroad student you will not be required to attend a course induction.
These are only mandatory for students who are completing a full degree at Ulster.
Within the Orientation timetable there will be an opportunity to meet other study abroad exchange bespoke events.
If for any reason you need to change your modules, you must do so before the end of Week 2 by completing our module amendment form after you have consulted with your study adviser at Ulster and home institution.

Feel free to contact your Study Adviser, introducing yourself as they will serve as your primary point of contact throughout your studies at Ulster. Additionally, they can offer guidance on any academic inquiries you may have.
It may be possible to withdraw from a particular module after Week 2, but this is not assured. Approval for withdrawal will only be granted following thorough discussions with your home institution and your Study Advisor at Ulster.
If you receive documentation from your home institution that needs to be completed and signed, the Global Opportunities Team can assist you with most of these, such as the Letter of Confirmation and Certificate of Attendance.
However, it is important to note that the only document we cannot sign is your Learning Agreement, as that can only be signed by your Study Adviser at Ulster.
You, and your home institution, will receive an electronic copy of your transcript by email once they have been released by the Student Operations team at Ulster
Semester 1 – mid January (students who attended semester 1 only)
Semester 2 – early July (students who attended for semester 2 and full year)

Please note: Timetables are subject to change until the end of Week 2. These changes may result in clashes with your selected modules.

- Contact your Study Advisor -They may be able to recommend alternative modules that better suit your schedule.
- Email the Go Global team – They can assist with registering you for any approved module changes.
Please contact the Go Global team, who will contact Registry and have your records updated.
Semester 1 Exams
The Semester 1 Examination period falls In January and we understand that some students wish to return home for Christmas.
In this instance students can arrange to sit an exam at their home institution for a fee of £30 or request to complete a piece of coursework instead.
If you wish to consider this option please discuss with your study advisor first of all so alternative arrangements can be made.
