Scheduled Maintenance
The Banner Student Record System will be unavailable from the morning of Monday July 14, until 10 AM on Wednesday July 16, 2025. This downtime is necessary for the application of critical business patches and upgrades, which are essential for supporting UCAS, UKVI, and HESA processing.
The following services will be affected: Banner (all functional areas), Online Applications, Online Enrolment, Banner Self Service, and Banner Faculty Grade Entry (marks collection). The Cognos reporting environment will remain available but running at risk for student-related reports during this period.
Please note that services will operate at risk from Wednesday July 16 to Friday July 18.
On Wednesday 30th July 2025 the Estates Services Department will be introducing a new CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management System) called Invida. Most of you will know the current reporting system as Planon.
This will streamline and enhance the staff and student experience here at Ulster with regard to reporting issues e.g. Building Faults, Heating Investigations, Porterage Requests, Cleaning Requests, Car Park Space Reservations and Visitor passes to name but a few.
In order to facilitate the changeover to the new system, it will be necessary to implement a period of downtime to ensure the smooth transition from Planon to Invida. The proposed dates for the changeover will be from 30th July to 4th August 2025.
