Dr Adele McKinney
Overview
Dr Adele Mc Kinney is a lecturer in Psychology and Co-ordinator of Placement students within the school of psychology.. She is a felloe of the higher education Academy. Adele completed her BSc and PhD (cognitive psychology) in the school of Psychology and held research positions in the health board and Queens University.
Research Focus
Adele has worked on various projects which have investigated the impact of alcohol on performance, factors which determine maintaining a healthy lifestyle and ageing well.
Teaching
Adele has experience in teaching statistics, psychobiology and cognitive psychology.
Community Impact
Adele has worked on a project using a co design method between community and academia, identifying and addressing areas e.g. housing, health and education which were seen as contributing to aging well throughout the lifespan.
