Overview

Biography

I studied geology at Cork (BSc 1993), geophysics at Durham (MSc 1994) and marine geophysics at Southampton (PhD 1997) before joining Ulster in 1998.

Research Interests

I am a geoscientist, interested in applications of ocean mapping methods and computational modelling. I use acoustic imaging and geospatial data to detect, quantify and understand change in anthropogenic, geoarchaeological, geomorphological, and biophysical systems. A better understanding of these processes allows us to inform policy makers and develop mitigation strategies to minimise loss in the face of increasing natural and human forcing.
