Eighteen students are taking part in a work experience event hosted by the NI Centre for Stratified Medicine at the University of Ulster on 1 and 2 July.
Stratified, or personalised, medicine is an emerging practice of medicine which examines our genetic make-up along with clinical data to better prevent, diagnose and treat disease at an individual patient level and the NI Centre for Stratified Medicine is the only one of its kind on the island of Ireland. The event, sponsored by Fusion Antibodies, is giving students hands on experience of working in laboratories and learning about potential careers in stratified medicine.
