Prof Catherine O’Rourke nominated Rory for this award on the basis of his research profile, including his recent book Law, Democracy, and the European Court of Human Rights (Cambridge 2020) as well as his contributions to research leadership as TJI Director (2014-2020) and Research Director for Law (2017-2021), including his work with PhD researchers.
Rory joins Catherine, Prof Brandon Hamber and Prof Fionnuala Ní Aoláin as TJI members who have been recognised in the Distinguished Research Awards at Ulster University.
