At a time when energy generation, cost, and security dominate agendas across the globe, research into opportunities for harnessing local renewable energy sources has never been so significant.

The INTERREG VA funded SPIRE2 project is the successful culmination of 4 years of collaborative research on consumer owned energy storage and energy market structures across the UK and Ireland.

By exploring how homes and businesses can store renewable energy effectively, allowing very high levels of renewable energy to be integrated into power grids globally, new energy market models and systems have been identified.

The conference will present the findings through case studies carried out across a number of key sectors of the economy. Guest speakers from academia and industry will also discuss near-term challenges and opportunities for harnessing renewable energy technologies across these islands.

If you work within the renewable energy industry, or within academia and research, and would like to hear more on the outcomes of SPIRE2 as well as future opportunities for collaboration, please join us for this conference.
