BBC Radio 3’s flagship evening show, In Tune, returns to the city with a dazzling line-up of live music and chat. Join Sean Rafferty live from The Great Hall, Derry~Londonderry campus with guests including: pianist, Ruth McGinley; jazz trumpeter, Linley Hamilton; and soprano, Mary McCabe.

This is a BBC event and tickets are administered on their website via the register button.

Ticket Registration

  • Step 1: Apply for tickets.  Tickets for this show are being allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so when the BBC receive your ticket request your details are added to the list of applicants. Tickets are usually dispatched from approximately three weeks ahead of the recording date.
  • Step 2: Recieve a message. All eligible requests are allocated tickets in the order they are received, up to the maximum number of available tickets. If successful, the BBC will notify you by text message and send your e-ticket(s) to your email address. If unsuccessful you will be kept on the waiting list in case anyone cancels their tickets.
  • Step 3: Bring your tickets and ID. The BBC do their best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately they occasionally have to disappoint people. Remember that every guest must bring original approved photo ID.

Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that as not everyone who asks for tickets uses them, to make sure they have a full house they send out more tickets than there are places. The BBC do their best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately they occasionally have to disappoint people.

Please note that tickets are non-transferable. They cannot be transferred to another date or to a person who is not named on the ticket. If your application for tickets is successful, your tickets will be printed with the name of the person who applied. The name printed on your tickets must match the name on your approved photo ID otherwise you won’t be admitted. If you request two or more tickets because you are taking a guest along, all tickets will be printed with the name of the person who made the ticket application.

Tickets can only be used by the person named on the tickets, accompanied by any guest(s) they wish to bring along. Every additional guest aged 18 and above must also bring a form of photo ID from their approved list. Photo ID must be original and in date (copies and out of date ID won’t be accepted). If you cannot provide this proof you will be refused entry. Please note that all guests must be accompanied by the named ticket holder to ensure entry.

Please take a look at the BBC's FAQ to see what type of photo ID is acceptable.
