The Doctoral College is delighted to be running the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition for the eighth year!
We invite you to join us for the Ulster 3MT® Final on Thursday 19 June 12pm-2pm in The Lecture Theatre, ground floor of BC Building on the Belfast campus.
The 3MT® Final will be followed by our PhD Awards Presentation where we recognise and celebrate the achievements of our PhD Researchers including prizes for Outstanding PhD Thesis and prizes awarded as part of last week’s Festival of PhD Research.
The 3MT® is a research communication competition, which challenges our PhD Researchers to present a compelling spoken presentation on their research topic and its significance in just three minutes. We will have 8 finalists presenting work across a wide range of disciplines.
The Winner of the Ulster 3MT® Final will represent Ulster in the UK Quarter-Finals of the national competition hosted by Vitae and sponsored by Taylor and Francis. Our PhD Researchers at Ulster have been very successful in the 3MT® UK competition, winning the UK People’s Choice Award three times (2019, 2022 and 2024).
