Indicators of Success
Supervisors may benefit from understanding the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) performance indicators. This national survey is the main measure of PhD researcher satisfaction and, as such, the University uses these statistics to measure performance in this area.
Being the main point of contact with the PhD researcher, the supervisory team is well placed to improve PhD researcher satisfaction across a number, if not all, of these indicators. The scaled questions from PRES are replicated for your information.
The results of the most recent PRES 2018 will shortly be available online. This survey is run on an annual basis and we would be grateful if you could encourage your PhD Researchers to complete the survey (launches in March and runs through to mid May each year) as the more responses we get, the more representative the results will be.
