Congratulations to Micheál Hearty who successfully defended his thesis ‘How and why do we (not) collectively remember non-combatants in Northern Ireland’ on 11 April 2024.

The panel complimented Micheál on tackling a difficult topic and producing a comprehensive, rigorous and theoretically strong thesis.

Micheál’s thesis supervisors were Dr Kris Brown and Dr Adrian Grant. The thesis was examined by Prof Anna Bryson (QUB) and Dr Máire Braniff with Prof Rory O’Connelll as chair.

Well done to Micheál and his supervisors!
