Congratulations to Dr Selbi Durdiyeva on her PhD viva on 30 June 2021!
Selbi’s thesis was on ‘Reimagining the Role of Civil Society in Transitional Justice Processes relating to Soviet Repressions in Russia’
Selbi’s examiners were Prof Lavinia Stan (St Francis Xavier University) and Prof Cath Collins, with Dr Jackie Reilly as Chair. The viva examination was thorough, wide-ranging and challenging in the best sense of the word, and Selbi defended her thesis skilfully.
Selbi’s supervisors were Prof Rory O’Connell and Dr Thomas Hansen.
