Mark joined the School of Law in 2016, having previously completed a PhD under the supervision of Prof Grainne McKeever and Prof Ann-Marie Gray.
Mark has been a very active member of the Social Justice team at Ulster. He has acted as Course Director for the LLB at Magee 2016-2020. During this period the Magee Law course saw significant improvement in NSS student satisfaction (93% in 2019).
Mark has published 13 peer-reviewed journal articles since 2010 and is currently writing his first monograph Social citizenship in an age of welfare regionalism: the state of the social union (Hart, forthcoming). His research has been supported by grants from the ESRC, British Academy/Leverhulme Trust, Joseph Rowntree foundation and others.
