Dr Thomas Hansen will work on the project, which is led by Line Gissel at Roskilde University in Denmark. The project will study the politics of transitional justice standardisation and the relationship between consolidation and innovation in standardised transitional justice processes. Dr Hansen will lead on the project’s Uganda case study.

The project also involves case studies relating to the UN, Colombia and Syria. Prof. Brandon Hamber will serve on the project’s advisory board, together with a number of other leading transitional justice experts. The grant is worth 5.9M Danish Kroner (approx. 685K GBP) overall.
