Dr Catherine O’Rourke recently took part in the Be Seen, Be Heard initiative with Bespoke Communications in partnership with the BBC, UTV and Ulster University.

The initiative aims to help media outlets in Northern Ireland gain access to new, female sources of expertise. Bespoke Comms want news and current affairs programmes to accurately reflect the society they report on. They’re working in partnership with broadcasters to introduce more women to media analysis, so that journalists and producers can source the range of opinions and evaluations they need for their programmes.
