As one of the closing events of the "Supporting Search in Latin America" work that Professor Collins has been engaged in since 2020, on 20 June a network of Chilean universities will launch the "#todochilebusca" initiative, whereby institutions around the country are taking it in turns to organise public facing events that highlight the search for the disappeared as a shared problem and a collective public task, not a burden to be left only to relatives.
The initial events include a book launch, film forum, and panel discussion with relatives and professionals engaged in search. Some international events with diaspora communities are planned for later in the year.
