Our Teaching
Ulster University offers a wide range of courses that both directly and indirectly support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting our strong commitment to embedding sustainability in education. Across disciplines such as sustainable business, environmental health, renewable energy, architecture, law, and marine sciences, students are encouraged to engage with global challenges, whether by designing sustainable cities, advancing environmental justice, protecting ecosystems, or leading ethical organisations.

Education for Sustainable Development
Ulster University’s commitment to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is integrated in our teaching, curriculum, and institutional strategy. Through our Strategy for Learning and Teaching Enhancement (SLaTE), ESD is a core priority, with all programmes aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Responsible Futures
Ulster University have been awarded the SOS-UK Responsible Futures Accreditation. Responsible Futures is a UK-wide accreditation programme run by Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK). It helps universities and colleges embed sustainability and social responsibility across teaching, curricula, and the wider student experience.

Apprenticeships and Green Skills
Ulster University apprenticeships combine academic study with workplace experience, equipping learners with the skills needed to drive sustainable change in their chosen fields.
