Dr Erin Early


Overview

Erin is a Lecturer in Social Policy at the School of Applied Social and Policy Sciences, Ulster University. Prior to joining Ulster University, Erin held a Lectureship at Queen’s University Belfast and Research Fellowship at the Centre for Education Policy and Equalising Opportunities at the Institute of Education, University College London.

Dr Early’s research is centred around secondary data analysis and evidence synthesis to examine social inequalities in education, health and the family. Her research also draws upon social theory to understand these associations.

Dr Early is Director of Kids’ Life and Times survey (ARK) and a Visiting Scholar at the School of Law, Queen’s University Belfast. She is also Co-Convenor of the BERA Special Interest Group in Research Methodologies, Associate Editor of Campbell Systematic Reviews, Review Editor of Frontiers in Education (Mental Health and Wellbeing in Education) and Editorial Board member of Sociology.
