Earlier this summer, Ulster University has received the news that we have been shortlisted in four categories of this year’s prestigious Global Student Living (GSL) Awards 2025:
*Best Student Community
*Best Student Wellbeing
*Best University Housing
*Best Moving In Experience (announced earlier in January).
In December, Ulster University was announced as a finalist for the Best Moving In Experience category, based on resident feedback collected from October to December 2024.
And now, based on resident feedback collected from February to May 2025, the University has been unveiled on the shortlists for a further three award categories in the UK and Ireland.
Based exclusively on data from the world’s leading resident insight platform - the GSL Index - the GSL Awards are free of submissions or judging panels, offering recognition that reflects what students truly experience and value in their accommodation.
A total of 32 universities and operators in the UK and Ireland have made the shortlist across all award categories, with Ulster University being named as a finalist in four award categories.

The winners of the GSL Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony after the GSL Live event on 16 October 2025 in London.
