Junior Minister Anderson Visits Magee Campus

Junior Minister Martina Anderson with Vice Chancellor, Professor Richard Barnett and Professor Martin McGinnity, Director of the Intelligent Systems Research Centre Junior Minister at the Office of First and deputy First Minister, Martina Anderson, visited the University of Ulster’s Magee campus today for a briefing on its development.

Minister Anderson, accompanied by party colleague Sinn Fein Councillor Eric McGinley, was welcomed to Magee by Vice Chancellor Professor Richard Barnett, who escorted them on a tour of the campus.

During the tour they visited the Intelligent Systems Research Centre, the School of Creative Arts and the School of Nursing, where they were briefed on teaching and research programmes. They also met several members of staff and students.

Vice Chancellor Professor Richard Barnett said: “As a local MLA, Martina Anderson has always been a keen supporter of developments at Magee – and I very much welcome that support.
