Innovation Ulster Ltd is the new name for UUTech Ltd – the University of Ulster’s successful knowledge venturing company.
The Board of UUTech decided to rename and rebrand to reflect the company’s expanded operations which now include knowledge transfer and consultancy, intellectual property management and technology commercialisation.
“Under our new name of Innovation Ulster Ltd, we’re continuing to manage Ulster’s market-leading consultancy business and direct the University’s investment in technology, as well as incubating its high-growth spin-out companies,” said Director of Innovation, Tim Brundle.
“Behind our new name is a long, successful heritage of innovation. Our companies are producing life-saving devices and therapeutics, sustainable materials for the aerospace industry and revolutionising search engines.
“We’re currently seeking entrepreneurs and investors looking for breakthrough ideas, technologies and business opportunities.”
A website – www.innovationulster.com - has been set up by Office of Innovation staff, which will act as a repository for resources for clients of the company including academic colleagues.
