Honorary Degree for Ulster Motor Sport Entrepreneur John Crosslé

As an internationally-respected entrepreneur and engineer, John Crosslé, is to receive the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc) for services to engineering and manufacturing. 

The Crosslé Car Company was founded by John and Rosemary Crosslé in 1957 in Holywood, and soon established itself as a manufacturer of high quality racing cars in the expanding motor-sport scene.

John Crosslé's attention to detail, coupled with good design and sensible strong construction soon led to a rapidly expanding company.
In 1987 Crosslé Cars celebrated "30 years of winning", the highlight of which was the return of John Crosslé to the race tracks after a 20 year absence.
