HTM Peer mentoring provides second year students with an opportunity to learn how to empathise, advise and encourage transitioning students from school to Ulster University and the department of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
To learn how to:
1) communicate and empathise on personal challenges for a new student and advise on University Protocols
2) socialise and encourage peers to identify and belong to the HTM department
3) Work in a team to design and implement student centred socialisation events
4) Assist with HTM department marketing events for new UG student applicants
300 word reflection on the key learning from volunteering as an HTM Peer Mentor.
22 hours covering mentoring and reflective activity
