Students from Ulster University have designed, built and installed a pop up music booth on the Shankill Road to give local residents the chance to get creative and record their very own track.

As part of Ulster University's annual Festival of Art & Design, the installation has been developed in partnership with Aberrant Architecture and The Spectrum Centre with the aim of transforming unused places into social spaces for the community.

This year's Festival of Art and Design, which runs until 11 March, delivered a packed calendar of events that focused on themes of place, gender justice and identity.

Further highlights included one of the world's largest interactive sound art installations at The Giant's Ring; live performances and talks including BAFTA nominated documentary filmmaker Sean McAllister; and Transmission Ballycastle, a walking art trail through the town.
